Joy Bogard

Shurden Funeral Home 411 West Division Street Henryetta, OK 74437 (918) 652-4461 Fax (918) 652-4451 Joy (Colllins) Bogard passed peacefully from this life on Monday, September 3, 2012 at her daughter's home in Mustang, OK at the age of 81. Joy was born on October 22, 1930 to Ervin Collins and Cora Milan Collins. Joy grew up in the Hanna area and attended school there. In August, 1946 she married the love of her life, Mackigean Bogard. Mack was a Baptist minister in several eastern Oklahoma Baptist Churches, and Joy faithfully served her husband and his churches in his ministries. Joy is preceded in death by her husband, Mack; Her mother and father, Cora Milan Collins and Ervin Collins; Her brother, John Collins; and Two sisters, Irene Baughman and Mildred Pierce She is survived by her two daughters: Phyllis Townsley of Mustang and Darlene Kabha and husband John of McKinney, TX; 2 Granddaughters: April Lynn Horne of Denton, TX and Jennifer Dawn Sell of Colombia, MO 2 Sisters: Francis Collins of Tulsa and Alline Doughgy of Midwest City, OK; 6 Great Grandchildren: Jonathan Rich, J.T. Rich, David Rich, Timothy Canter, Sterling Sell, and Simon Sell Host of other extended family Many good friends. Private graveside services were held on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Hanna Cemetery with Rev. Harlan Ellis officiating. Interment was held in Hanna Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta.
