Joyce Marie Boyster

Joyce Marie Boyster, 74 of Henryetta, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She was born on February 4, 1950 in Henryetta, Oklahoma to Garvin W. and Bonnie L. (Beleu) Rakestraw.

Joyce grew up in the Henryetta Community and attended school at Dewar and graduated from Dewar High School in 1967. She married Curtis Allen Boyster on March 29, 1989 in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Joyce and Curtis made their home in Henryetta and together owned and operated the A&J Laundromat in Henryetta making it a daily part of their routine. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and making trips to the Casino with Curtis. Joyce loved her family and her dogs, Roxie, Geena, Blackie, BJ and Lillie.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Roy Rakestraw, Ronald Rakestraw, Anita Rakestraw, Betty Rainey and daughter in law Shelly Parker.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 35 years, Curtis Allen Boyster of Henryetta, Oklahoma; sons, Brian Kevin Parker and wife Diane of Lowell, Indiana, David Allen Parker and wife Kimberly Lynn of Henryetta, Oklahoma and Christopher Samuel Parker of Ohio; grandchildren, Amanda, Lauren, Blake, Geena and Billie and seven great grandchildren; sister, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

The family will have a private viewing and no services are scheduled at this time.
