Joyce Evelyn Maylen, a resident of Dewar passed away Saturday, April 2nd, 2022 in Henryetta at the age of 85. She was born September 22, 1936 in Holdenville to Ace & Irene (Locke) Mathis.
She was the mayor of Dewar for many years and coached softball for many years in Dewar. Joyce was a loving person, but most of all she loved her family.
She attended the United Pentecostal Church in Dewar.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Al Maylen, and an infant daughter, Theresa.
She is survived by six children, Dawna Matlock & husband Lyndall of Muskogee;
Anita Sheppard of Shelbyville, Texas;
Shelley Sessions & husband Bobby of Newalla;
Barbara Cecrle & husband Jon of Broken Arrow;
Lisa Dodson of Henryetta;
Albert Maylen, Jr. & wife Cortney of Odessa, Texas;
Sixteen grandchildren, Tommy Sessions, Josh Sessions, Wendy Hammond, Clay Matlock, Kristi Matlock, Whitney Romine, Klarissa Foster, Hannah Cecrle, Laney Williams, Toby Williams, Stephanie Jones, Erica Campbell, Heath Sheppard, Zachary Capps, John Capps, & Allen Capps;
21 great grandchildren
Two brothers, Geary Mathis of Tulsa;
Mickey Mathis of Henryetta;
brother-in-law, Larry Maylen & wife Joyce of Morris;

Viewing will be from 3-8pm, Tuesday, April 5th, at Integrity Funeral Service.
Graveside services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 6th at Westlawn Cemetery with Rev. Darin Smith officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
