Juanice Kaye Flanagan, a resident of Henryetta, passed away Saturday, June 4th, 2022 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 76. She was born on July 26, 1945, in Henryetta, OK to Leon Diamond & Lucile (Westbrook) Diamond.
She married Nowell Flanagan, the love of her life, on July 24, 1965, in Henryetta.
Juanice was a beloved member of the Henryetta community.
She was Miss Henryetta in 1964 and went on to represent Henryetta in the Miss Oklahoma Pageant. She graduated from Cosmetology School in 1965. She opened her first beauty shop in Henryetta. She owned multiple beauty shops, over a span of 50-plus years. Her beloved clientele were faithful to follow her wherever she went. She was a member of the Henryetta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi since 1973, holding many different offices and serving on multiple committees. Juanice was a part of a special group of ladies. They called themselves “The Lake Girls.” They enjoyed traveling and spending time together.
Her faith was very important to her. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Henryetta.
Juanice was a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved family gatherings and showed her love through cooking.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nowell Flanagan, parents, Leon and Lucile Diamond. Her sisters: Carolyn Diamond, Peggy Nicholson, Delois Marshall, Judy Drummond, a brother, Gene Diamond, and a grandson, Jacob Craig.
Juanice is survived by two sons, Gregory Flanagan and wife Khristi of Oklahoma City, Nolan Keith Flangan & wife Kimberly of Sand Springs, grandchildren, Kaleigh Campbell & husband Corbin, Grace Flanagan, and Maggie Flanagan, great-grandchildren, Harrison Campbell, Jude Craig, Gemma Martin, Dreke Martin, and Jacob Martin, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Viewing and visitation will be from 6-8 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 10, 2022, at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Ryan Wells and Rev. Herman Huffman, officiating. Services and arrangements are under the direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.
Family has requested that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Henryetta Fire Department in honor of Juanice.
