It is with a profound sense of loss and a celebration of a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Kathy Lynn Henry, born March 12, 1952, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, who left us on December 7, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Kathy, a beacon of love and kindness, was a cherished member of her community and a loving matriarch to her family.
Kathy's early years were spent in the town of her birth, where she blossomed into an exceptional individual, graduating from Henryetta High School. Her education laid the foundation for a life full of love, wisdom, and the nurturing of her family, which stood central to her existence.
In her journey through life, Kathy was a devoted partner to her late husband, Thomas Henry. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter, a legacy that continued to grow with the birth of their three children: Thomas Henry and his wife Shelly of Mannford, Stephanie Hill and her husband Charles of Henryetta, and Sebo Henry and his wife Sandy of Morris. Kathy's role as a mother was one she cherished deeply, pouring her heart and soul into every moment with her children.
The family tree flourished under Kathy's loving care, extending to her adored six grandchildren: Marissa Lamasta, Andrea Hill, Julianne Perry, Aspen Henry, Kaitlyn Line and Kallie Henry. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of her five great-grandchildren: Carter Faldon, Oaklee Faldon, Delilah Faldon, Riley Faldon, and Dallin Line. Each of them was a precious gem in her crown of life's achievements, and they will carry her legacy forward.
Kathy's family circle was wide and full of affection, including her brother, Alvin Powders of Tulsa, her mother-in-law, Dixie Henry of Broken Arrow, and a sister-in-law, Joy Boyd and her husband Rob of Broken Arrow. She was a cherished figure not only to her immediate family but also to her extended family, friends, and other relatives, who will miss her presence dearly.
Her life was also marked by the loving memory of those who preceded her in death, including her beloved husband, Thomas Henry, her parents, Cleo and Laudra Powders, and a sister-in-law. Kathy's spirit, however, will continue to shine in the hearts of those she has left behind.
Kathy's interests revolved around her family. Her children and grandchildren were the essence of her life. Every moment spent with them was treasured, and her guidance and support were unwavering. She was the bedrock of her family, providing a foundation of love and kindness that enriched their lives immeasurably.
Those who knew Kathy would describe her as the epitome of loving kindness. Her warm smile and caring nature were a comfort to all around her. Kathy's legacy is one of compassion and devotion, a testament to the profound impact she had on those fortunate enough to have known her.
