Katie Ann Barnett

Katie Ann Barnett, a resident of Dustin, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in Okemah, OK at the age of 88. She was born April 20, 1924 in Dustin, OK to William Barnett & Leah (Haney) Barnett. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Haney Barnett, brother, Amos Barnett, half brothers, Frank Harjo and Buster Barnet, sisters Florence Murphy, Mary Ann Lewis, and half sister Annie Harjo. Katie is survived by her brother, Smiley Barnett of Dewar, niece, Valerie Barnett of Glenpool, her boys, Ron Murphy & wife Tammy of Oklahoma City, Don Murphy of Shawnee, and Harold Murphy of Oklahoma City, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, other relatives and friends. A wake service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Hutchechuppa Baptist Church at 7pm. Pallbearers will be Cheyenne Murphy, Casey Murphy, Chad Murphy, Corey Murphy, Don Murphy Jr., and Walter Lewis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Hutchechuppa Baptist Church with Rev. John Wayne Tulsa, officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Barnett Family Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
