Kenneth Ray Deckard

June 21, 1952 — March 1, 2023

Kenneth Ray Deckard, 70, a resident of Oklahoma City and former lifelong resident of Okmulgee, Oklahoma passed away Wednesday, March 1st in Oklahoma City. Kenneth was born June 21, 1952 to Hearlean and Fred Deckard in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of five siblings. His parents instilled at an early age the importance of knowing and having a relationship with Christ. Kenneth found the Lord and began search and a deeper connection with God.
He attended Dunbar High School before integration graduated from Okmulgee High School in 1971. After graduating high school, he joined the U. S. Navy then married Sherry (Ward) Deckard. Shortly later their first-born daughter LaTosha was born. Three years later, a second child TaNisa was born. Later in life, he married Caren Deckard, the sacrament of their union remained for over twenty years until her death in 2021.
Kenneth Deckard never met a stranger, he loved people and sharing the word of God. During his early years he enjoyed riding motorcycles with friends. Playing cards and dominos was an all-time favorite. He enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and breakfast was his favorite meal of the day. Kenneth loved back yard barbecues and had enjoy hosting with close friends and family.
Above all, Kenneth loved his family. He longed to spend time with his grand-children and give them "ice cream money." He loved his family and made certain to form strong relationships with all family members
Kenneth is preceded in death by his wife Caren Deckard. His parents Hearlean & Fred Deckard. Siblings Christine Thomas; Loretta Franklin; Frank Deckard; Oscar Deckard Sr.; Zenobia and Salina Deckard.
Kenneth is survived by his two daughters Dr. LaTosha (Willie) Oliver; TaNisa Deckard and Kenneth Steward. Five grandchildren: Marquize Deckard [Hughesville, Maryland]; Jasmine Ross [Jacksonville, Florida}; Najee Oliver [ Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri]; Kayla Deckard [Oklahoma City, Oklahoma]; KyAyra Daniel [Oklahoma City, Oklahoma]. Six great- grandchildren: Marquize Deckard- Morris [Albany, NewYork]; Bradleigh Woods, Ka"Miah Flowers, Naveah Woods and Brooklyn Woods all of Oklahoma City.

Viewing and Visitation is scheduled for 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma
Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:00 PM, Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Home Chapel
Inurnment will be at Ft. Sill National Cemetery at a later date
