Kenneth Charles Stanton, a longtime resident of Quinton, Oklahoma, passed from this life on Saturday, August 10, 2012 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 81. Kenneth was born on May 4, 1932 in Hitchita, OK to Florence Edna Kidwell Stanton and William Charles Stanton. Kenneth grew up in the Hitchita and Hoffman communities and attended school in Hitchita. After his schooling, Kenneth worked with his father doing farming and ranching work. Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trapping. He also played in a band where he played several instruments including the bass fiddle. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Quinton. Kenneth is preceded in death by his mother and father; his first wife, Lora Estelle Stanton who died on April 24, 1989, by numerous brothers and sisters, and a son, Randy Stanton. Kenneth was later married to Sue Englett in Fort Smith, Arkansas in 2001. He is survived by his wife Sue of the home; son, Ronnie Stanton and wife Rhonda of Henryetta; daughter, Regenia Lacquement of Checotah; son, Russell Stanton of Okmulgee; son, Reginal Stanton and wife Kristina of Hoffman; son, Rowlan Stanton and wife Tammy of Hanna; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Larry Stanton of Schulter; 1 sister, Rowena Brownfield; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members; as well as many good friends. Viewing will be held at Integrity Funeral Service on Tuesday, from 4 to 8pm and Wednesday from 8am to 11am. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 2:00pm at Integrity Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon in Henryetta with Rev. Jeff Bengs officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Hoffman Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. Pallbearers will be Rydale Lacquement, Reggie Stanton, Ryan Stanton, James Lacquement, Phillip Wood, and Larry Brownfield.
