Larry Wade McCroskey was respected by many during his lifetime. He was a loving father, a dependable brother, and a sometimes cantankerous son who, along with his brother Gary, enjoyed keeping his parents on their toes.
In June 2021 he followed his warmhearted mother, Sarah Arvella Snow McCroskey; his steadfast father, James Minor McCroskey; his loyal and supportive brother, Gary McCroskey; and his beloved daughter, Bridget McCroskey in death. He leaves behind his daughter Elizabeth McCroskey, his son Jimmy McCroskey and wife Alexandra McGee; his niece Lyndsey Mayes and husband Johnny Mayes; his brother Joseph McCroskey and wife Joyce McCroskey; and an abundance of other friends and family.
Larry was a simple man who enjoyed simple pleasures. He worked in maintenance for the City of Tulsa for many years and was fond of working with his hands. He reveled in the outdoors and valued the peace found in fishing, camping, and shooting. When not at the lake or visiting his favorite haunts, he could be found sitting on the back porch of his childhood home with friends and family talking and laughing about shared memories. He will be missed.
His family will be holding a private memorial service at a later date.
