Latha Louise Tarwater Dean

Latha Louise Tarwater was born September 26, 1930 to Alvin & Della Florence Hubbs. She attended Wilson Public School for 11 years, later receiving her GED. She married Frank Edward Tarwater and they were married 43 years. Born into this union were two sons, James Alvin Tarwater and Donald Edward Tarwater. Latha was a homemaker before working eight years at Wacker's Department Store in Okmulgee. Later Latha received her certificate as a Home Health Provider working there until she retired. She loved helping others and was an active member of the Ladies Mission in her church working in many fund-raisers and later helped with the church pantry giving food for the needy. Before becoming ill, she worked ten years in the church mission store, The Thrifty Boutique. She was a great cook and was known for her famous pecans pies. She is preceded in death by her parents Alvin & Della Hubbs, twin sister Gatha Hubbs, her husband Frank E. Tarwater and one son James Tarwater. She is survived by one son, Donald Edward Tarwater of Henryetta; Two grandsons, Christopher James Tarwater & wife Tonya of Wichita Falls, Texas, Justin Don Tarwater & wife Danie of Henryetta; Two granddaughters, Stacey Webber & husband Harvard of Henryetta; Jamie Lynn Tarwater & husband Juan of Wichita Falls, Texas; Seven Great-grandsons, Michael Perez, Scott Perez, Frank Tarwater, Tyler Tarwater, Mason Webber, Harvard Webber III, & Mica Tarwater. Six Great-granddaughters, Tiffany Tarwater, Christi Tarwater, Bethany Tarwater, Emily Tarwater, Rebecca Webber & Abigail Tarwater One sister, Catherine Hall & husband Buster of Wilson Community; Two daughters-in-law, Carol Tarwater of Henryetta; Cheryl Tarwater of Wichita Falls, Texas; A life-long friend, Georgia Been Easterling A host of nieces, nephews, many friends and other relatives. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Abundant Life Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Becky Watkins, Rev. Suzie Stephens, & Rev. Justin Tarwater, officiating. Interment will follow in Bearden Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
