Lavinia Mae Nye

Lavinia Mae Nye, a resident of Henryetta passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the age of 69. She was born on October 1, 1941 to Wallace Gambler Sr. and Stella (Brunner) Gambler in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Nye, her parents and sisters, Doris Ramaris and Elizabeth Murphy. Survivors include her 4 children, Herbert Nye of Dewar, Oklahoma, Teresa James of Henryetta, Oklahoma, Anita Truckner of Henryetta, and Antonio Nye of Henryetta, Oklahoma, she had 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, Billy Gambler of New Mexico, and Wallace Gambler Jr. of Henryetta, 2 sisters, Amelia Gambler of Okmulgee, and Carmelita Gambler of Henryetta, one aunt, Lucille Tiger of Tulsa, Oklahoma and by a host of other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be Charlie James, Keith Nye, Grant Nye, Demitree Pangle, Eric Nye and Paul Truckner. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody James, Josh Gambler, and Seth Gambler. Wake services will be on Friday Evening at 7:30 pm at the Hickory Ground #1 Indian Baptist Church southeast of Henryetta and Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at the church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Mitchell Taylor and Rev. Sidney Lee officiating. Interment will follow the service at the Gambler family cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service - Henryetta.
