Lela Allean Davis

Lela Allean Davis, a resident of Henryetta passed away Saturday, December 10th, 2016 in Henryetta at the age of 88. She was born November 3rd, 1928 in Henryetta to George Bert Maylen & Myra Louise (Smittle) Maylen. She married Carl Davis May 7, 1944 in Antioch, California. She was a homemaker and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Lela was a very artistic individual that loved any type of hand made crafts. She made beautiful ceramic dolls, quilts, embroidery, knitting as well as painting. She loved anything she could do with her hands.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert & Myra Maylen, four sisters, Gladys Eastwood, Margie Madewell, Jane Aldridge, and Ann Bennett, also by two brothers, Albert Maylen & Ray Maylen.

She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Carl Davis of the home;
Three children: Carl F. Davis, Jr. of Cedar City, Utah;
Joyce A Jones of Vacaville, California;
Donald G. Davis & wife Anita of Henryetta;
Fourteen grandchildren, Twenty three great grandchildren,& Three great-great grandchilden;
Two sisters, Myra Carlton of Henryetta; and Billie Smith of Coalgate;
As well as a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 14th, 2016 from 5:00p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Integrity Funeral Service.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 15, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Henryetta with Bishop David Hardgrave, officiating, assisted by Carl F. Davis, Jr., and Donald G. Davis. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
