Lena Van Meter

Lena Van Meter, a lifelong resident of Henryetta, passed away Monday, June 1st, 2015 at her home in Henryetta, OK at the age of 92. She was born February 15, 1923 in Henryetta, OK to Jules Ricco & Katie (Niccolino) Ricco. Lena married Cecil Van Meter on December 21, 1942 in Henryetta. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil in 2007, her parents, Jules and Katie Ricco, brothers, Leo Ricco, Max Ricco, Jimmie Ricco, John Ricco, and Fred Ricco, by sisters, Margaret Davis and Theresa Barcellino. Lena is survived by her daughter, Sharon Marshall & fiancé© Perry Oberle of Nixa, Missouri, daughter, Donna Steves & husband Henry of Henryetta, grandchildren, Darla Berry & husband Frank of Rogersville, Missouri, Sheri Freeman & husband Smokey of Henryetta, Ken Marshall & wife Linda of Springfield, Missouri, Stephen Palmer of Chandler, Oklahoma, and Michael Palmer & husband Lee VanDyke of Henryetta, great-grandchildren, Rayce Freeman, Katie Carroll, Tyger Freeman, Skyler Free Palmer, Amberlee Reid, and Shawnda Reid, as well as two great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be from 5-8pm on Wednesday, June 3rd and from 8am-8pm on June 4th at Integrity Funeral Service. Pallbearers will be Stephen Palmer, Michael Palmer, Ken Marshall, Tyger Freeman, Rayce Freeman, Skyler Free Palmer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Smokey Freeman, Frank Berry, and Lee VanDyke. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:30 PM, Friday, June 5, 2015 at Integrity Chapel (410 East Trudgeon St.) in Henryetta with Rev. Michael VanMeter, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
