Leon Jackson Godwin

Leon Jackson "Buddy" Godwin, a longtime resident of Henryetta, died Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Henryetta at the age of 72. He was born June 17, 1939 in Bryant, Oklahoma to Leman Godwin and Rosalee (Murray) Godwin. He was preceded in death by both his parents, and by his brother-in-law, Cornell Roberts. He is survived by his three sisters, Frances Roberts of Dewar; Norma Titsworth & husband Ralph of Tulsa; Doris Wood & husband Kenneth of Henryetta; 6 nieces, Brenda Lee Clingan of Tulsa; Lisa Walker & husband Duane of Sapulpa; Debbie Buck of Okemah; Carla Roberts & husband Billy of Dewar; Connie Roberts of Dewar; and Shelly of Tulsa, as well as a host of great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by extended family at Bono's Nursing Home. Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 10, 2011 at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta with Rev. Matthew Martin officiating. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
