Leona Reid (Pippin) Thompson

Leona Reid Thompson, a longtime resident of Henryetta, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2016 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 92. She was born April 7, 1924 in Van Alstyne, Texas to Henry Arthur Pippin & Jewel Pearl Blankenship.

Leona was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Price Thompson, 2nd husband Richard Thompson, sister, dorothy Thompson, son, Ronald Thompson, step-daughter, Nettie Leah Taylor, and brother, H.A. Pippin.

Leona is survived by her 6 children,
Galen Gary Thompson & wife Connie of Henryetta,
Brenda J. Baker of Henryetta,
Darrel Thompson of Glenpool,
Rex P. Thompson of Glenpool
Annette Diane Corbin & husband Donnie of Henryetta,
Kevin Bret Thompson of Henryetta,
numerous, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren,
sister, Sylvia Paddubny of Arkansas,
brother, Bill Pippin & wife Carolyn of Arkansas,
brother, Les Pippin & wife Charlotte of Sand Springs, Oklahoma,
brother, Don Pippin & wife Frances of Cleveland, Oklahoma,
step-son, Richard Rilon Thompson & wife Karen of Colorado,
as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Rocky Thompson, Jeff Thompson, James Baker Jr., Darrel Thompson Jr., Heath Corbin, and Jarod Powell. Honorary Pallbearers will be Darren Thompson, Travis Thompson, Jamie Thompson, Shawn Thompson, Chad Thompson, Jonah Baker, Donnie Corbin, and David Corbin.

Funeral Services are scheduled for Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Integrity Chapel with Bro. Gary Greenfield, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
