Leroy Stacy

February 27, 1939 — November 25, 2018

Leroy "Papa" Stacy, a resident of Okemah passed away Sunday, November 25th, 2018 in Tulsa at the age of 79. He was born February 27, 1939 in Okfuskee County near Pharoah to Elmer Stacy & Mildred (Sanders) Stacy. Leroy proudly served his country with the United States Army and later with the Oklahoma National Guard. He married Virginia Lee Johnson June 19, 1958 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Mildred Stacy, his wife, Virginia Lee Stacy, an infant daughter, Pamela June Stacy, a brother, Tim Stacy and an infant sister, Linda Lee Stacy.

Leroy worked for many years as a truck driver and pipeline worker. He loved working on cars and trucks and loved being outdoors enjoying nature. He was a member of the Dewar United Pentecostal Church.

He is survived by three children:
Steve Stacy & wife Wendy of Okemah;
Sherry Crowson & husband Mike of Krebs;
Daric Stacy of Okemah;
Seven grandchildren: Sarah Majors of Tulsa;
Tyler Stacy of Chicago, Illinois;
Josh Stacy of Okemah;
Andrew Stacy;
Patrick Lewis of McAlester;
Amanda Delcarpio of Mcalester;
Chris Stacy of Okemah;
Also by a host of great grandchildren;
Also surviving him are four brothers;
Kenny Stacy & wife Barbara of Victoria, Mississippi;
Jimmy Stacy & wife Linda of Henryetta;
Jerry Stacy & wife Debbie of Seminole;
Clifford Stacy & wife Debbie of Sapulpa;
Three sisters:
Louise Kempton & husband Denny of Henryetta;
Kathy Booze & husband Gary of Glenpool;
June Lewis of Glenpool;
Also by a host of friends, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Viewing for Leroy will be from 3 - 8pm Tuesday, November 27th at Integrity Funeral service, and 8am until noon on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Leroy's grandsons:Christopher Stacy, Patrick Lewis, Andrew Stacy, Josh Stacy, Tyler Stacy & Matt Majors.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28th at Dewar United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Matthew Martin & Rev. Greg Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Rock Creek Cemetery south of Okemah under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
