Lilly Bell Brooks, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2023, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born on October 17, 1939, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, Lilly was a lifetime resident of this close-knit community. She was the cherished daughter of Robert Porter and Myrtle L. (Ingram) Moore.

Lilly was united in marriage to Emert Leon Brooks on May 31, 1957, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Their loving union was blessed with four children, three sons and a daughter, who brought immense joy and pride to their lives. Lilly was preceded in death by her parents, her devoted husband, four brothers, Johnny, Lloyd, Bill, and Charley Moore, and five sisters, Myrtle Matthews, Edith Schnepp, Pauline Howk, Ruby Moore, and Edna Minyard.

Lilly dedicated many years of her life to Wilson School, where she worked as a cook before her retirement. She was a valued member of the Hoffman Baptist Church. Lilly was known for her culinary skills, her love for gardening, and her talent for quilting and sewing. Every year, she took great pride in cultivating a beautiful garden that yielded an abundance of vegetables, which she generously shared with everyone.

Lilly was renowned for her cooking and baking, and she never arrived anywhere empty-handed. Her banana pudding, chicken noodles, and peach cobbler were legendary, and everyone hoped that she would bring one of these delicious dishes to gatherings. Lilly's love for her family and friends, her generosity, and her warm spirit made her a treasure to all who knew her.

In her leisure time, Lilly enjoyed quilting and sewing, creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creativity and attention to detail. She found joy and satisfaction in these activities, which she often shared with her loved ones. Lilly's life was marked by her dedication to her family, her love for her community, and her passion for the things she enjoyed.

Lilly Bell Brooks will be remembered as a loving mother, a caring grandmother, and a devoted friend. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and she will be greatly missed. Her life was a testament to the power of love, generosity, and kindness, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her three sons, Emert Leroy Brooks and wife Kelly, of Morris, Oklahoma, Gary Brooks and wife Melissa, of McAlester, Oklahoma, and Bradley Brooks of Henryetta, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her daughter, Patricia Webster and husband Jerry of Morris, Oklahoma. Lilly was a doting grandmother to eleven grandchildren, Kyle Brooks, RaeAnn Cable, Erin Baker, Whittney Black, Stephanie Brooks, Steven Brooks, Cole Webster, Clay Webster, Chloe Webster, Kyle Brinkley and Chris Brinkley. Seventeen great-grandchildren, Kyan Brooks, Kase Brooks, Savanna Cable, Kayde Cable, Bodie Baker, Raielynn Fudge, Kalla Fudge, Austin Fudge, Kayden Culley, Khari, Culley, Payton Brooks, Blake Brooks, Roxanne Webster, Karissa Brinkley, Koby Brinkley, Klay Brinkley, and Chesney Brinkley. One great great grandchild, Nolen Brinkley. Three sisters, Betty Nunn of Killeen, Texas, Pat Vaughn of Okemah, Oklahoma and Shirley Bray and husband James of Webbers Falls, Oklahoma. Sister-in-law, Frances Starkus, Duncanville, Texas. Special aunt, Georgina Ingram, San Jose, California.

Viewing will be from 3:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma 74437.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 18, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church with Pastor David Bray officiating. Interment will follow the service at Salem Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Brooks, Cole Webster, Clay Webster, Steven Brooks, Larry Burgess and Billy Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Starkus, Danny Burgess and Raymond Moore.
