Linda Hammack, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2023, in Moore, Oklahoma. Linda was born on September 21, 1947, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, and spent her life enriching the lives of those around her with her adventurous spirit, sharp wit, and intelligence.

Linda was a cherished member of her family, which includes her devoted daughter, Alexa Hammack of Moore, and her loving brother, Ronald C. Davidson of Dewar. She was also blessed with a host of friends and relatives who will remember her fondly and miss her deeply. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Floriene Davidson as well as her husband, Dewayne Hammack.

Linda's pursuit of knowledge led her to earn her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a field she was passionate about. This passion carried over into her professional life, where she dedicated many years to teaching at Cache and Dewar Schools. She retired from Dewar School after a fulfilling teaching career, leaving a significant impact on her students and colleagues alike.

Linda's interests extended beyond her profession. She was a devoted supporter of her daughter, Alexa, throughout her sports career, following her to the World Transplant Games and U. S. Transplant Games around the globe. These experiences reflected her adventurous nature and her love of travel. Linda also loved sports, and as an avid OU fan, she never missed a chance to cheer on her favorite team.

Linda's adventurous spirit was evident not only in her love of sports and travel but also in her approach to life. She was never one to shy away from a challenge or a new experience. Her funny nature and quick wit brought joy and laughter to those around her, even in the most challenging of times. Linda was also known for her intelligence, which shone through in her teaching career and her everyday conversations.

In her 75 years, Linda Hammack lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure. She touched the lives of many with her intelligence, humor, and zest for life. Her legacy will live on in the countless lives she touched as a teacher, a mother, a sister, and a friend. Her memory will forever be cherished by those who knew her and loved her.

Viewing for Linda will be from 6 - 8pm, Thursday, August 31st, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be, Braxton Loyd, Garrett Loyd, John Hammack, Michael Hammack, Jeremy Burrow, and Roger Roth. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ronnie Davidson, Dennis Hammack, Ty Hammack, Turner Hammack, Reid Roth, Lukas Hammack and Jakob Hammack.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, September 1st, 2023 at Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Ledtkey McIntosh officiating. Special speakers will be, Alexa Hammack, Mandy Loyd, Katie Greer, and Michelle Hammack. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
