Litty Taylor

May 18, 1946 — November 10, 2021

Litty Ann “Cissy” Taylor, 75 years old, entered eternal life on November 10, 2021 in Morris, OK. Cissy was born to this life on May 18, 1946, in Tahlequah, OK, to Annie Asbury Taylor and Louis Taylor. Cissy graduated from Morris High School in 1966. After high school, Cissy attended NEO in Miami, OK where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Licensed Practical Nursing. She was employed for many years with Rebold Manor. After retiring from the nursing field, she began employment with Git-N-Go as a store clerk. She retired from Git-N-Go after 17 years.
Cissy was an active member of Hickory Ground #1 Church and Apekv Ceremonial Ground. She had a love for Mvskoke hymns and traditional Mvskoke cooking, which she passed down to her nieces. She loved spending time at her church and ceremonial ground.
Cissy was known as “Auntie” to many people. She was everyone’s Auntie and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews. You could see her at many of her nieces and nephews sporting events. Whether rain or shine, hot or cold, she was there cheering them on. She always traveled to many places to watch her nephew Cal play basketball and football. She took so much pride in making sure he always had food and drinks at his games. Cissy also never left home without her crossword puzzles. She always loved traveling near and far for grocery bingos. Though she has left this walk of life, her memories will never be forgotten.
Cissy is survived by three brothers Lewis Taylor Jr. and wife Janet, Arnold Taylor, Eddie Taylor, and one sister Louise “Hokte” Taylor all from Henryetta, OK., along with a host of nieces and nephews. Cissy was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Wesley “Russell” Taylor, Elmer “Fudd” Taylor, and Cecil Taylor. One sister Suzie Taylor.
