Lloyd Robert Morris

Lloyd Robert Morris, 72, of Denton, TX, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015. Lloyd was born in Houston, TX and grew up in Henryetta, Oklahoma where he met his lovely bride Rose Friend. They married on October 12, 1963 and have enjoyed 51 years of blessed marriage. Lloyd is the Loving father of three. Lloyd is survived by his wife Rose "Dee" Morris of Denton; three children, Stephen Morris, Brent Morris and wife Charlotte, and Michelle Schmidt and husband Ronald Schmidt, and four sisters, Kathie Blackmon, Jerry Beth Scott, Jeannie Sims, and Marquita Brower. Five grandchildren, Jace and Ian Morris, Brittany and Sean Morris, and Erich Schmidt. Lloyd was an engineer and worked for several years in the fields of electronics and in gauge development and production. His most recent posting was at Rochester Gas and Equipment, from where he retired. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his wife, traveling, taking trips in the RV and on his motorcycle and cooking. He was always trying out new recipes. He was always available for his children and friends. Although battling illness for the past three years, he spent a lot of his time trying to make his home perfect for his lovely bride, building a fireplace (a project they worked on together) and keeping busy with projects around the house. Lloyd was a very kind and sincere person. He taught his children to respect and be considerate of everyone in their lives. He is loved and will be missed by many whose lives he has touched. He was the best husband, dad, grandfather and friend anyone could ask for. Lloyd will be missed in the deepest sense, and he can never be replaced. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 2:00p.m. in the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 705 N. Locust with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, Texas. A visitation will be Wednesday May 6, 2015 from 1 until 2 at the funeral home.
