Margaret Anna Helm Cameron was born in Weir, KS on August 25, 1918; she passed peacefully in her sleep on September 6, 2021 at the age of 103. She grew up in Arma, KS, but moved to Henryetta, OK to work for her uncle Richard Pullen in the Warden-Pullen Mine office following high school graduation. It was in Henryetta that she met and married the love of her life David Cameron. She was preceded in death by her husband David, her parents Lon and Elizabeth Helm, sister Ramona Hisle, brother Lon Helm, Jr., and her grandson Bryan Martin. She was an active member of The First Presbyterian Church, Ithana Study Club, and PEO for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge and missed her bridge friends very much when she moved to Broken Arrow with her daughter in December, 2012.
Following a stroke in 2014 she moved to University Village Assisted Living, where she lived at the time of her death. Her family truly appreciates the loving care she was given by her aides, nurses, Dr. Carol Howard, her beautician Vilma, and the nursing office staff, and all the UV personnel.
She is survived by her sons David R. (Dick) and his wife Mary and Tom and his wife Cecelia, and daughter Judy Martin, her beloved grandchildren Kim Cameron, David R. Cameron and his wife Tammy, Amy Martin Collins and her husband Larry, Jason Martin and his wife Ginny, David A. Cameron and his wife Heather, and Joe Cameron and his wife Megan, and her precious great grandchildren Maci Cameron, Ashlee Collins, Ty and Laci Martin, and Afton, Atticus, and Jane Cameron.
Mom lived a full and beautiful Christian life; she thoroughly enjoyed family time and was know for playing a mean game of Mexican Train Dominoes. She had recently celebrated her 103rd birthday with three parties, and she loved each one! She will be greatly missed by both family and friends.
