Margaret Davis

Margaret (Ricco) Davis, a longtime resident of Henryetta, passed from this life on Monday, December 9, 2013 in Tulsa at the age of 98. Margaret was born in Henryetta on June 4, 1915 to Jules Ricco and Katie Nicolino Ricco. She grew up in Henryetta and attended Henryetta Public Schools. In her early years, Margaret attended Pharoah Baptist Church and Salem Baptist Church. More recently, she was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Henryetta. Margaret loved jewelry and was an avid shopper for clothing and jewelry. She also loved to travel. Margaret was married to James Arden Davis on April 30, 1941 in Henryetta. They remained married for 36 wonderful years until his death in 1977. Margaret is preceded in death by both her mother and father; her husband, James A. Davis; a daughter, Beverly Alberty; and 5 brothers and one sister. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Davis of Henryetta; daughter, Delores Farris and husband Gerald of Okemah; a son, James Davis, Jr. of Henryetta; 9 grandchildren, Blake Farris of Muskogee, Kenny Farris of Okemah, Michael Davis of Coweta, John Davis of Henryetta, Mindy Stark of Sapulpa, Melissa Depasse of Tulsa, and April Miller of Tulsa; 14 Great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a sister, Lena VanMeter of Henryetta; by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends. Viewing will be held at Integrity Funeral Service on Wednesday from 11am until 8pm and on Thursday, from 8am until noon. A funeral service for Margaret will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2013 at 2:00pm at Immanuel Baptist Church in Henryetta with Rev. Braden Buss officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Weleetka Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. The family has designated Immanuel Baptist Church of Henryetta as appropriate for memorial contributions. Pallbearers will be Blake Farris, Gerald Farris, Gary Alberty, Henry Steves, Mike Gizzi, and Darrell Stark.
