Shurden Funeral Home 411 West Division Street Henryetta, OK 74437 (918) 652-4461 Fax (918) 652-4451 Margie Ellen Madewell, a longtime resident of Henryetta, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in Henryetta at the age of 88. She was born December 30, 1923 in McCurtin, Oklahoma to Bert Maylen and Myra Smittle Maylen. Margie married Raymond George Madewell on May 20, 1940 in Henryetta. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert and Myra Maylen, her husband, Raymond Madewell and by a daughter, Sharon Ott. Also preceding her in death are two brothers, Ray Maylen and Albert Maylen, and three sisters, Gladys Eastwood, Jane Aldridge, and Margaret Ann Bennett. She is survived by two children: Louise Hampton & husband Dale of Henryetta; Roy Madewell & wife Kathy of Bixby; Six Grandchildren Ten Great-grandchildren One Great-great granddaughter Three sisters, Myra Carlton & husband Don of Henryetta; Lela Davis & husband Frank of Henryetta; Billie Smith & husband Jim of Coalgate; Brother-in-law, James Bennett of Henryetta; Brother-in-law, Donald Aldridge of Henryetta; As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Graveside services are scheduled for Friday, August 24, 2012 at 10:30 AM at Westlawn Cemetery. Services are under direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
