Marion Winnefred Wallis, also know to many as "Wimpy" or "Red", passed away Thursday, September 8th, 2016 at his home in Dewar at the age of 85. He was born November 21, 1930 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. He worked at PPG Industries in Henryetta for many years until it's closing in 1974 and retired from Ford Glass Company after 10 years of service.
He served in the United States National Guard and was a member of the Apostolic House of Prayer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer & Frieda Wallis, also by his first wife, Darlene Marie (Reid) Wallis, two sisters, Betty Jo Bishop & Loretta Dodson and one brother Carlton Wayne Wallis.
He is survived by his wife Penny of the home;
One son, Johnny Wayne Wallis of Dewar;
One daughter, Charyl (Wallis) Cummings & husband Jimmy of Dewar;
One step-daughter, Penny Lou Kellogg of Checotah;
Grandchildren, Jason Been, David Burchfield, II of Morris, also by Jaden, Diamond, & Avery
Six great-grandchildren;
One sister, Francis Daniels of Norman;
Also by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.
Pallbearers will be, Jason Been, David Burchfield, Bobby Johnson, Billy Croteau, Jeff Quinton, & Ron Quinton. Honorary pallbearers will be, Ricky Johnson, Tommy Croteau, Stan Quinton, Mike Dodson, Steven Croteau, Michael Croteau, Kathy Quinton, Tammy Barton & Allen Wallis.
Viewing will be on Sunday from Noon until 8pm and Monday from 8am until Noon.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 12, 2016 at the Apostolic House of Prayer in Henryetta with Rev. Scott Randall, Rev. Chester Cantrell & Sister Judy Wainwright officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
