Marvin L. Holman, a longtime resident of Henryetta, passed from this life on Saturday, July 12, 2014 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 48. Marvin was born on August 12, 1965 in Henryetta to Jim Holman and Maggie Noblin Holman. Marvin grew up in the Henryetta area and attended school at Graham and Dustin Public Schools. Marvin worked for approximately 8 years for Jack Young Asphalt Company, where he worked as a heavy equipment operator in building roads. He also spent a number of years in the oil field where he worked in various capacities as a roughneck. In his younger years, he enjoyed bull riding. Marvin loved to fish and garden. He thoroughly enjoyed western movies, especially John Wayne and Clint Eastwood movies. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Marvin was married to Donna Barnett on January 18, 2013 in Dewar, Oklahoma and they remained married until his death. Marvin is preceded in death by his father, Jim Holman; a sister, Wanda Faye Holman; a brother, Jack Holman; a sister, Flora Lee Holman; and brothers, Jimmy Holman and Leonard Holman. He is survived by his wife Donna of the home in Henryetta; his mother, Maggie Holman of Henryetta; three daughters, Amy Plunkett and husband Jeff of Muskogee, OK, April Barnett of the home, and Daisy Harrington of the home; three sisters, J.J. Eubanks and husband Ed of Wilson, Sharon Camp and husband Dub of McAlester, OK, and Dorothy Harrier of Eufaula; four brothers, Bob Holman and wife Kim of Henryetta, Tom Holman and wife Penny of Dewar, Jasper Boen and Virginia Rush of Okmulgee, and Donnie Holman of Porum; a granddaughter, Alivia Plunkett of Muskogee; by his faithful hound "Son", by numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family; and by many good friends. A memorial service for Marvin will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 10:00am at Integrity Chapel, 410 E. Trudgeon, Henryetta under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Rhine, Jason Rhine, Larry Cummings, Steve Lawson, Ed Eubanks, and Tyson Fuqua.
