Marvin Frank Wilkerson, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on February 18, 2014 in Oklahoma City at the age of 52. Frank was born on January 19, 1962 in Quanah, Texas. Frank grew up in the Claremore, Oklahoma area and attended Claremore Public Schools, graduating from Claremore High School. Frank was an accomplished musician and spent several years playing the drums in several different bands including Steppenwolf, Kansas, and The Birds among others. Frank was moved by two passions. He loved to play music and thoroughly enjoyed fishing. He was married on July 12, 1991 in Henryetta, OK to Karen Berry. He was a loving husband and father and he will be missed by many who knew him. Frank is preceded in death by both his mother and father; his brother, Doug Wilkerson; and his two sisters, Connie Smith and Linda Lickettes. He is survived by his wife, Karen Wilkerson of the home; two daughters, Aleshia Wilkerson and Miranda Wilkerson, both of the home; a step-son, Christopher Scott Keller of the home; a grandson, Dodge Dewaine Britt of the home; by four sisters, Oweta Robertson, Frances Sundberg, Abigail Smith, and Vickie Fellers; and by two brothers, George Wilkerson of Midland, TX and Ronnie Wilkerson of Paducah, TX. Honorary Pallbearers will be Rusty Robertson, Chuck Sundberg, Kenny Berry, Jonathan Berry, Marty Early, Andy Britt, Scott Keller, J.D. Butterfield. The family will be having a Memorial Service on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at 2:00pm, at the First Baptist Church in Dewar with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Arrangements were made through Integrity Funeral Service.
