Mary Alice Walker, born March 9, 1932 in Dewar, Oklahoma went to sleep in the Lord May 31, 2012 until the resurrection. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Henry Friend and Willie Mae Friend, sons, Mark Allen Compton and Billy Charles "Buddy" Compton, brother Earnie Friend and sister Jannie Bell Watteau.
She is survived by her husband Richard of the home;
Adopted great grandson, Donavan Weaver of the home;
Daughters, Catherine Remer and husband Charles of Okmulgee;
Debra Kinnick of Niangua, Missouri;
Suzan Stephens and husband Jim of Tiger Mountain;
Son, Richard Dill and wife Teresa of Claremore;
Sisters, Patsy Spurlock of Henryetta;
Ruth Travis of Okemah;
Deedee Morris of Denton, Texas;
Donna Quick of Okmulge;
Brother, Floyd Friend of Henryetta
She is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren who were the joy of her life.
Mary Alice owned Mary Alice Flowers in Okmulgee for 23 years. She also ran a flight school and flew small planes. She served in prison ministry and was most joyful in leading someone in the sinner's prayer.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at First Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee with Rev. Raymond Doak and Paul Brown, officiating.
