Mazie S. Thompson

Mazie P. Thompson (nee Staton), 91, of Henryetta, OK, passed away in Tulsa, OK on August 18, 2009 after a brief illness. She was born to John Samuel (Pink) and LuCinda Caroline Staton in Cumming, GA on August 6, 1918. She was married to her beloved Jack C. Thompson on June 13, 1941. She resided in Oklahoma for 38 years prior to her husband's death in 1990. She has also resided in Greenville, SC, Lakeland and Sarasota, FL. She is survived by 2 sons, Paul (Carol) Thompson, Ontario, Canada; Wayne (Rosemary) Thompson, Henryetta, OK; 1 daughter, Cinda (Ron) Evans, Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren Jack Wayne, David, Robert, Ricky, Stephen, Nicole, Noelle, Joey, John, Paula; 21 precious great grandchildren, a dear sister, Eula, loving cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Jack, 2 brothers, 3 sisters, parents and in-laws. Our beloved mother was a gentle, soft-spoken, loving, faithful Christian woman who dearly loved her family and friends. She will be sorely missed. Private family memorial services will be in OK and FL following cremation. Interment to follow in Oklahoma City.
