Melvin G. Frenchman, Sr., a resident of Tiger Mountain, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in Tulsa at the age of 72. He was born July 27, 1940 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Clarence and Bertha Frenchman. Melvin married Christy Harjo in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. He was a member of the United Pentecostal Church and retired from Ford Glass in Broken Arrow. Melvin is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dean Frenchman, and one granddaughter, Heather Gooden. He is survived by his wife Christy of the home; Five children: Melvin Gene Frenchman, Jr. & wife Jerry of Owasso; Delia Westover & husband Lenny of Henryetta; Atha Mosco of Okmulgee; Chris Frenchman of Dewar; Emma Yocham & husband Alfred of Tiger Mountain; Eighteen Grandchildren & Twenty-two great-grandchildren Pallbearers will be JB Keener, Chris Frenchman, Al Yocham, Steve Lukenbill, Nikita Muse, Bo Frenchman. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 28, 2013 at Dewar First Baptist Church. Interment will follow in Silver Spring Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
