Michael Lynn Chowins

Dr. Michael Lynn Chowins, a resident of Henryetta, OK passed away on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at his home at the age of 79. He was born on November 3, 1941 in Abilene, TX to Wayne Jones Chowins & Grace Rovella (Hayden) Chowins.

He served the United States in the Army National Guard.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Henryetta. He was a doctor of optometry and retired in 1998.

He married Carolyn Ann Hall on August 2, 1958.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by one sister, Ann Tesney.

Dr. Chowins is survived by his wife, Ann Chowins of the home,
son, Todd Chowins of Oklahoma City,
son, Ted Chowins & wife Susie of Henryetta,
grandchildren; Hunter Chowins & wife Brawna of McAlester,
Aulden Chowins of Henryetta,
great-grandchildren; Ryder Padgett, Anna Padgett, Walker Padgett,
Tuff Chowins, and Knox Chowins,
two brothers, W. J. Chowins of Wetumka,
and Kenneth Chowins & wife Esther Kansas City, Kansas,
as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 5-8 PM on Friday, November 20, 2020 at Integrity Funeral Service.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Integrity Chapel with Rev. Wesley VanMeter, officiating. Interment will follow at Wetumka Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
