Minnie Ruth Proctor

Minnie Ruth Proctor, a resident of Dewar, passed away on Monday December 26th, 2022 in Tulsa, Ok. at the of age of 71. She was born April 16, 1951 to Jackson and Rosie Mae (Fry) Bruner.
Minnie is a member of Yardeka Baptist Church where she served as a Woman’s Leader of the Church. Minnie also belonged to Greenleaf Ceremonial Grounds. Minnie was baptized at the age of 11 by John Jacobs and she loved the Lord with all her heart. She Prayed over her family daily. Minnie married Bill Freeman Proctor on October 12, 1971 in Oklahoma City, Ok.
Minnie was preceded in death by her parents: Jackson and Rosie Bruner and 2 sisters: Patsy Frank and Ella “Chick” Hill.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years Bill Proctor of the home, 2 Son’s: Brian and Shannon Proctor of Checotah and Byron and Twainna Proctor of Dewar. One Daughter Billie Proctor and Paul Harjochee of Henryetta. Sister’s Nellie Lasley, Cinda Bruner and Wanda Bruner of Henryetta and Emma Wind of Oklahoma City. Mother-In-Law Lena Proctor of Dustin. Grandchildren: Marissa, Dayton, Allison, Nakea, SaRae, Madison, Aliyah, Kristen, Bryanna, Jayden, Jaxton, Isaiah and Nathan, 5 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Minnie loved teaching the MVSKOKE Creek Language to young ones, she was an advocate at heart. Minnie loved having family gatherings, she would always say it warmed her heart to see loved ones. She loved attending her children’s and grandchildren’s games, cheering them on. Minnie loved to work puzzles, read her Danielle Steele novels and make quilts until her hands wouldn't’t allow her to. Minnie loved spending time with her sisters, she took the role of Big Sister to heart. She also loved to cook traditional foods, making her specialty dishes. Minnie will forever be greatly missed by all who loved her.
Viewing will be from 5—8 pm on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Home.
Wake Services are scheduled for 7:00 pm Thursday December 29th, 2022 at Yardeka Indian Baptist Church in rural Henryetta.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 1:00 pm Friday, December 30th, 2022 at Yardeka Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Wallace Gambler and Rev. Mitchell Taylor officiating. Interment will be at the Yardeka Indian Baptist Church Cemetery. Services under Integrity Funeral Services.
Pallbearers: Brent Bruner, Vincent Williams Jr., Sergio Sanchez Jr., Michael Hill, Joshua Simpson, Devan Bruner, Kenny Miller and Bruce Proctor.
Honorary Pallbearers: Jerry Sumka, Warren Frank, Paul Harjochee, Charles Proctor, Jonas Proctor, Keith Tulsa, Reuben Culley, William Wind and grandsons—Jaxton, Isaiah and Nathan.
