Dr. Monte Bill Oliver, a resident of Eufaula, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 66. He was born September 12, 1947 in Waco, TX to Wilburn W. Oliver & Evelyn (Deyo) Oliver. Monte served during the Vietnam Era as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed his time as a medic while stationed in Korea. His experience in the Air Force carried on with him and helped foster a love for caring for people. He became a chiropractor and always treated every patient with the highest quality of care. Monte was a member of Endtime Revival Church in Henryetta. He loved his family very much. He enjoyed golfing and playing his guitar. He was an accomplished marathon runner and passed his love for running onto his son. He was preceded in death by his father, Wilburn W. Oliver and by his infant son, Preston Oliver. Monte is survived by his son, Steven Oliver & wife Tara of Denton, Texas, three grandsons, Mason, Kai, and Phoenix Oliver of Denton, his mother Evelyn Oliver of Caddo Mills, Texas, four sisters, Donna Oliver-Leep of Junction, Texas, Sharon Ayers of Dallas, Texas, Synthia Collard of Royse City, Texas, and Rhonda Stelley of Greenville, Texas, as well as a host of other relatives and many friends. Locally a memorial will be held at Integrity Funeral Service Chapel in Henryetta (410 East Trudgeon St.) on Sunday, April 6, 2014 at 2:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Brown's Memorial Funeral Home 707 N. MacArthur BLVD, Irving, TX 75061 on Tuesday April 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Viewing will be held from 9 to 11 AM before the service. Interment will convene at DFW National Cemetery in Grand Prairie, TX at 12:30 PM the same day.
