Myrtle Lou Buzan

Myrtle Lou Buzan, a longtime Henryetta resident, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma at the age of 79. Myrtle was born on June 5, 1934 in Dewar, Oklahoma to Mae (Moore) Lenox and Walter Lenox. Myrtle grew up in the Henryetta area and graduated from Henryetta High School in 1953. She was a member of the Town and Country Christian Church in Okmulgee. She was a dedicated homemaker and loving wife. Myrtle was married to Marshall "Rex" Buzan on June 4, 1960 in Henryetta. She and Rex remained married for 53 amazing years together until Rex's death in June of 2013. Myrtle and Rex loved showing their 1955 Chevys. They were both avid Oklahoma State University sports fans. They loved traveling together. They were both especially happy anytime they found themselves in the company of their very special grandchildren. Myrtle is preceded in death by her husband Marshall Q. "Rex" Buzan who died on June 27, 2013; by both her mother and father; and by 5 sisters and 2 brothers. She is survived by her son, Marshall Buzan, Jr. and wife Gaylene of Bartlesville; her daughter, Lou Ann Buzan Orr and husband David Orr of Broken Arrow; by four grandchildren, Natalie and Nathan Buzan of Bartlesville, and Kelli and Brittany Orr of Broken Arrow; by one great granddaughter, Kylee Owens of Broken Arrow; a brother, Floyd Lenox and wife Joan of Mead, OK; by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many good friends. Viewing will be held on Thursday from noon until 8pm. The family will greet visitors at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service for Myrtle will be held on Friday, December 13, 2013 at 2:00pm in Integrity Chapel with Rev. Timothy Reeves officiating. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta. The family has designated the Town and Country Christian Church of Okmulgee, OK as appropriate for memorial contributions. Honorary pallbearers will be Ellis Kirks, Windy Hurt, Tim Ferguson, Floyd Sellers, O.B. Moss, and Pete Sawatzky.
