Naomi Summers made the journey to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday February 8, 2011 at the age of 90 years. She was born to John Martin and Miranda Jones Martin on December 1, 1920 in Magazine, Arkansas. She married Virgil Henry "Jay" Summers on December 23, 1936. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jay Summers, son Willard Eugene "Pete" Summers, 2 sons-in-law: John "Bambi" Sams and Bill Garrett, brother T. C. Martin, and 4 sisters: Leora Summers, Opal Evans, Johnny Fay Hundley, and Iva Densmore. She is survived by a daughter Sharon Garrett of the home, three grandchildren: Debbie Brooks and Kenneth of Guymon, OK, Bob Summers and Teresa of Nowata, OK, Cindy Fuerstenau and Jeff of Guymon, OK. Six great-grandchildren: Leah Settles and Dustin of Lacey, WA, Shelli Barbosa and Andrew of Guymon, OK Trevor Dunnagan of Guymon, OK, Lacy Summers of Nowata, OK, Brooke McCune and Kris of Guymon, OK, Mattie Summers of Fayetteville, AR. Five great-great-grandchildren: Hunter Settles, Garrett Barbosa, Aspen Naomi Settles, Michael Barbosa, and Lucas Barbosa. Pallbearers will be Trevor Dunnagan, Jeff Fuerstenau, Kenneth Brooks, Kris McCune, George Lee, and Clyde Settlemeyer. Honorary Pallbearers will be SSG. Dustin Settles, Don Summers, Therald Ray Summers, Jack Wallace, Jerry Summers, Jerry Zink, Harold Dean Summers, Jack McManus and Jimmy Guy Blackburn. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
