Nettie Margaret Charo

Nettie Margaret Dodge, a resident of Bixby passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014 in Tulsa at the age of 87. She was born December 6, 1926 in Hanna, Oklahoma to William Pierce and Edna (Reed) Pierce. She married James Harold "Jim" Dodge and he preceded her in death in 1969. She is also preceded in death by a grandson Joe McCroskey in 1983. Nettie and Jim lived in Dewar for many years where they raised their children. Nettie was a Licensed Practical Nurse working for Dr. Carlton Smith at the Henryetta Hospital, also Fountain View Manor and Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. She is survived by four children: Jean Wilson of Bixby; Bettie Trope and husband Al of Sausalito, California; Patsy Petersen and husband August of Austin, Texas; James H. Dodge, Jr. and wife Sharon of Sand Springs; Seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Integrity Chapel. Interment will be in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
