Norma Jean Milligan

Norma Jean (Pocky) Milligan, longtime resident of the Wilson Community, passed away from this earth Wednesday, May 19, 2021 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma at the age of 93.
She was born November 3, 1927 in Speers, Pennsylvania to William Pocky and Alice (Frocheur) Pocky.
Norma graduated from Charleroi (PA) High School in 1946. Norma married Billy Joe Milligan on January 23, 1970 in Henryetta, Oklahoma. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandma, friend and spaghetti “cooker.”
She held numerous bookkeeping jobs throughout her career including Henryetta Machine and Lumber, G&H Decoy, Coca-Cola, and Ingersoll Rand. She retired from the Henryetta Housing Authority as the Executive Director and in her retirement, served as an Inspector for the Okmulgee County Election Board.
Norma enjoyed sewing and crocheting and made many afghans and articles of clothing for family members and friends. Norma had also served on the Wilson School Board as well as being a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Okmulgee County Home Demonstration Club, and Okmulgee County Quilting Club. She won many blue ribbons on her various projects at the Okmulgee County Fair. She also served as a Cub Scout and Girl Scout Troop Leader for each of her children.
Norma was a member of the First Christian Church in Henryetta.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Milligan, her parents William and Alice Pocky, and one brother Billy Pocky.
She is survived by: her three sons, Lynn Wegley and wife Teri of Tulsa; Wesley Wegley and wife Mary of Tulsa; and Donald Wegley of Spavinaw; three daughters, Janine Hart and husband David of the Wilson community; and Billie Jean Been and husband Kerry of Dewar; and Kaye Bull and husband Dave of Clearwater, Florida;
Fifteen grandchildren: David Wegley, Brian Wegley, Charles Garven, Misti Ryan, Dwayne Wegley, Alicia Riggs, Kalee Baxter, Chelsea Been, Diamond Wegley, Blake Wegley, Sam Marcum, Chris Tregellas, Tori Greaves, Adrianne Hart, and Heather Hall and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Henryetta First Christian Church.
