Opal Dean Bennett

January 4, 1943 — September 20, 2021

Dean Bennett, Retired RN, died at her home in Collinsville on Sept 20th, 2021, at the age of 78. Dean was born on Jan 4th, 1943, in Henryetta to Charles and Lilly Jeffrey. Dean graduated from cosmetology school in March of 1968 in Tulsa. She later returned to school and obtained her nursing degree in May of 1996 from TJC. She worked as a registered nurse until she retired. Dean was a very artistic and enjoyed many different arts and crafts through out her life. She was exceptionally skilled at crocheting and knitting. Over the years she took classes in oil painting, cake decorating and many other crafts. She also enjoyed making ceramics and sewing. She made many prom dresses, wedding dresses, Halloween costumes and other clothing for her children. Dean enjoyed cooking for her family. She was an exceptional cook. She frequently made her own bread, noodles, candy and sweets. She made wedding cakes for many family members weddings. Dean’s family was very important to her. She was very involved in her children’s activities as they were growing up. She was a girl scout leader. She was involved in boy scouts and her daughter’s softball team along with many other of her children’s activities. She continued to be involved in her children’s lives as they became adults and was involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.


Opal was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Charles Jeffrey.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Robert Bennett and wife Joy of Henryetta, Wendy and husband Tarik of Bartlesville, Aaron Bennett and wife Nancy of Skiatook, Dana Mathes and husband Bobby of Collinsville, Regina Battisti and husband Sean of Broken Arrow, Wandina Hudson and husband Buddy, Jeffrey Bennett of Tahlequah; grandchildren: Elizabeth, James, Greg, Bryon, Lisa, Sandra, Lance, Ashley, Jamie, Chris, Brittany, Justina, Allison, Katie, Matthew and Shylby; great-grandchildren: Jacob, Ashlyn, Annalee, Cohan, Bellamy, Trinyti, Gunnar, Gavin, Madison, Brodie, James, Kadin, Eli, Emmett, Kenzington, Ian Daegan, Jax, Makenzie, Bryson, Jeremiah Logan, Laurel, Keeley, Arya, Peyton, Zach, Lillian, Braydyn, and Myra; one sister: Jean Jeffrey from Tulsa, aunt: "Punky" of Broken Arrow and uncle Richard of Claremore.

Viewing and visitation are scheduled from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday, September 26th, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon, Henryetta, Oklahoma.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, September 27th, 2021 at Integrity Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery, Henryetta, Oklahoma

Pallbearers: Greg Harmon, Bryon Harmon, Lance Bennett, Gunnar Harmon, Kadin Bennett, and Chris Calvert
Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Bennett, Aaron Bennett, Jeff Bennett, Matthew Hudson, James Grieshaber and James Bennett.

Arrangements and services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service of Henryetta, Oklahoma.
