Patricia Earlene Machetta, known affectionately as Pat, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2023, in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Born on December 12, 1931, in Coalton, Oklahoma, Patricia lived a life filled with love, generosity, and kindness.
Patricia was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. She leaves behind a daughter, Katherine Machetta of Henryetta, and a daughter-in-law, Gayle Machetta also of Henryetta. Patricia's legacy continues through her four grandchildren, Emily Machetta of Tulsa, Joe Machetta and wife Sue of Ada, Maggie Machetta of Eldorado, Arkansas, and Caitlyn Machetta of Henryetta. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Abbigayle Machetta, Logan Machetta, Roy Gutierrez, Oscar Gutierrez, Yesi Gutierrez, Christian, Zoe, Hannah, Kaleb, and Kameron. Pat is survived by her three sisters, Barbara Hammitt of Fritsch, Texas, Norma Lorenz of Hitchcock, Oklahoma , and Ginger Nichols and husband Dennis of Bixby, Oklahoma. Pat's family also includes a host of loving nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Weston Terrill and Norma Fairy Spurlock, her loving husband, Joe Machetta, and her son, Pete Machetta. Despite the losses she experienced, Patricia's spirit remained resilient, and she continued to shower her loved ones with kindness and generosity.
Patricia was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church. . She worked for many years as a florist at Rheba's Flowers in Henryetta.
She loved her chickens and had a fondness for leopard skin. A wonderful cook, Patricia's Italian dishes were renowned among family and friends. She enjoyed playing golf and welcomed everyone into her home with open arms and a warm meal. She loved feeding those who came by, and her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of delicious food.
Patricia will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister. Her spirit of kindness and generosity will continue to live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
Pat's life was a celebration of love, kindness, and generosity. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, but her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will be from 6 - 8pm Thursday, July 27th, 2023 at Integrity Funeral Service.
A graveside services is planned for 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 28th at Okmulgee Cemetery. Friends and family are encouraged to share memories and stories of Pat at the service. Services are under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
