Perina Couch

Perina (Gastaldo) Couch was born on May 6th, 1920. She was the youngest of the 7 living children of Mary & George Gastaldo.

She attended Dewar Schools as a child, then Coalton, where she loved her teachers & classmates.

On February 9, 1952, Perina married Elmer Couch. The couple lived and worked in Oklahoma, Colorado on the Chisom Ranch, and California.

After the passing of her husband and mother-in-law, Perina moved back to the farm to care for her ailing sister Margaret, and later her brothers, Farris and Adolph.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Couch, siblings: Johnny Gastaldo, Leno Gastaldo, Adolph Gastaldo, Farris Gastaldo, Margaret Gastaldo, Charlie Gastaldo, an infant brother who passed shortly after birth, and an infant sister that passed at 6 months old.

Perina is survived by the following: her four nieces: Mary Warden of Henryetta, Caroline Lackey & husband Kent of Henryetta, Rita Hardgrave & husband David of Broken Arrow, and Charlene Aldrich & husband Greg of Royal Oak, Michigan; eleven great grand nieces and nephews: Thomas Brian Lackey & spouse Hamid, Lee Warden, Chris Warden, Jon Warden & wife Stacy, Gregory Aldrich Jr. & wife Jessica, Jamie Aldrich, Lauren Willson & husband Derek, David A. Hardgrave & wife Becka, Nick Hardgrave & wife Kira, Joey Hardgrave & wife Madison, Douglas Hargrave & wife Brooke; nineteen great-great nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Henryetta, Oklahoma, and she passed from this life with family at her side on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma.

A Rosary is scheduled for 6:00 PM, on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at Integrity Chapel with Fr. Peter Phung, officiating.

Mass of Resurrection will be at 10:00 AM, on Monday, May 9, 2022 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Henryetta with Fr. Peter Phung, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Henryetta, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction and care of Integrity Funeral Service.

Serving as pallbearers are her great nephews: Christopher and Jon Warden, Derek Willson, David A., Nick, Joey, and Doug Hardgrave and Jacob Warden.
Serving as honorary pallbearers are the following: Kent Lackey, David Hardgrave Sr., Greg Aldrich Sr., Thomas Brian Lackey, Buck Sheward, Bill Middleton, Greg Aldrich Jr., Jamie Aldrich, John Doneti, & Sammy Kelch.
