Phyllis Jean Stephens

Phyllis Jean Stephens born December 12, 1938 to Orville & LaFern Hamilton, passed from this life on August 17, 2011. Preceded in death by her father Orville Hamilton, Mother LaFern Benadum, and brother Danny Hamilton. She is survived by her husband James E. Stephens of the home, daughter Mary Durbin and husband John of Dewar, son, James E. Stephens III and wife Suzie of Tiger Mountain, son, Orville Stephens and wife Julie of Preston, daughter Diana Norman and husband Butch of Tiger Mountain, 12 grandchildren, Buddy, Kyla & Nicholas Stephens, Chris & Michael Durbin, Kelly & Joey Blake, Valerie Kramer, Amria Norman, Jade Lemon, Alicia Patterson and Mandi Nixon, 26 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews and friends. Pallbearers will be James E. Stephens III, Buddy Stephens, Chris Durbin, Nicholas Stephens, Michael Durbin, and Joey Blake. Honorary Pallbearers will be Orville Stephens, John Durbin, Butch Norman, Eric Stephens, Chris Kramer, Nathan Starr, Austin Stephens, Zach Stephens, and Dr. Audie Swinney. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Dewar First Baptist Church with Rev. Jack Vance and Rev. Suzie Stephens officiating and Eulogy by Dr. Audie Swinney. Interment will follow at New Sonora Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
