Ray Maylen, a lifetime resident of Henryetta, passed away, Saturday, December 5, 2009 in Grapevine, Texas at the age of 87. Ray was born March 18, 1922 in McCurtain, Oklahoma to Bert Maylen & Myra Louise (Smittle) Maylen. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the United States Army. He retired from Eagle-Picher Smelter in Henryetta and also Ray Maylen Construction. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Henryetta and the Tulledega Masonic Lodge. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Janie Maylen, 1 brother, Albert Maylen, & 2 sisters, Gladys Eastwood & Jane Aldridge. He is survived by 1 daughter, Sharlet Sharp & husband Virgil of Rhome, Texas 1 granddaughter, Shelby Sharp of Rhome, Texas 5 sisters, Margie Madewell of Henryetta Lela Davis & husband Frank, Henryetta Ann Bennett & husband Jim of Henryetta Myra Carlton & husband Don of Henryetta Billie Smith & husband Jim of Coalgate Sister-in-law: Pat Anderson of Henryetta As well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at Westlawn Cemetery with Rev.
