Raymond L. Langston, a resident of Henryetta, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 in Henryetta at the age of 79. Ray was born on May 7, 1936 in Los Angeles, California to Sherman Langston and Mattie Odessa Perkins. Ray was raised in California, living in Bell and Huntington Park. He attended school in Huntington Park through the 10 grade, before leaving to join the U.S. Marines Corp. Ray later worked in California in several capacities before retiring from National O Ring Company in Downey, CA after 30 years of continuous service, where he served as a maintenance mechanic. Ray married Loretta Howard on March 31, 1990 in Downey, California. They later moved to Henryetta in 1997. Ray enjoyed wood working in his shop, sitting in the back yard with his dog Rusty, and watching television. Ray was a good son, husband, father and grandfather and he will be missed by the many who knew him. Ray was preceded in death by both his mother and father; a brother, Robert Langston; a sister, Barbara Langston; a son, David Langston who died in 2001; an infant son, Michael Langston; and his beloved dog Rusty. He is survived by his wife, Loretta Langston of the home; by two sisters, Shirley Langston and Donna Roberts of Oregon; a son, Raymond L. Langston, Jr.; a stepson, Daniel Phillips and wife Laura of Cerritos, California; a stepdaughter, Diana Harris and husband Keith of Lake Havasu, AZ; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Langston of Washington; grandchildren, Corrina, David Langston II, Vallie, and Michael; four step grandchildren, Seth, Kylee, Nicole, and Shaun; by several nieces and nephews; other extended family and many good friends. Viewing will be held at Integrity Funeral Service on Sunday, May 31, 2015 from 2pm until 8pm. A graveside service for Ray will be held on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 2:00pm at Hanna Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
