Rebecca Ann Clark, born Barnett, passed from this life on November 23, 2020 at the age of 57 after a brief battle with COVID-19. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Judy Barnett. She is survived by her husband, Jeff Clark, a son Chandler Barnett, a granddaughter Sandy, all of Lake Charles, LA and a brother, Todd Barnett of Houston, TX.
All who knew Becky loved her. She was the life of any party and lit up any room she walked into. She enjoyed the simple but meaningful things of life, like spending time with her family and friends, just talking or cooking. At Christmas, Thanksgiving, or any holiday, her home was always full of hustle and bustle as well as laughter and joy as she cooked and served her guests. Always willing to take in a stray, pets and people, her home was busy year round as she cared for her family and those she had taken in due to life’s circumstances. She became a surrogate mother to so many young people and was always willing to give whatever she had, time, resources, and best efforts to help them. Rarely thinking of herself, she was a confidant’, and a go to person to so many who were down or troubled. Always quick with her wit and quick with a scripture, she encouraged those in their times of need. She will be greatly missed.
Due to COVID restrictions, a graveside memorial will be held at Mimosa Pines at a later date. Pastor Jared Pugh of the Moss Bluff Pentecostal Church will officiate. She will be laid to rest next to her mother and father.
