Rick Powell

Richard Lynn "Rick" Powell, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Tulsa, OK, at the age of 70. He was born on August 17, 1953, in Claremore, OK, to David Logan Powell and Vena Mae Randall.
Rick married Leslie Beaver on March 31, 2001, in Arkansas. He loved the outdoors and cherished spending time in nature.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sue Powell, and his stepfather Willie Randall.
Rick is survived by his wife, Leslie Powell of Okmulgee; daughter, Terra Beaver and James Whitecloud of Okmulgee; son, Anthony "Chief" Beaver and fiancée Ashley of Glenpool; daughter, Shelby Powell of Okmulgee; son, Vernon Powell of Okmulgee; daughters, Lily Powell of Okmulgee; Tonie "BT" Grayson of Checotah. Rick is also survived by his beloved dog, Rue, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings Butch Powell, Peggy Powell, Sharon Whitecloud, David Powell Jr., Pam Palmer, and Rusty Powell, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A wake service will be held at the family home at 705 Cedar Lane in Okmulgee on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 7:00 PM.
Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Big Cussetah United Methodist Church, 20566 Prairie Bell Road, Morris, OK 74445,
Rev. Wotko Long officiating.
Pallbearers: Chris Hummingbird, Zach Crow, Chris Tiger, Jason Soweka, Sheldon Sloan, Michael Sloan
Honorary Pallbearers: Andrew Lowe, Ronnie Burnside, Gene Berryhill, Michael Johnny, Gino Roanhorse and Timothy Shirley
Interment will follow at Grave Creek Cemetery in Hitchita. Services are under the care and direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
