Shurden Funeral Home 411 West Division Street Henryetta, OK 74437 (918) Fax (918) 652-4451 Riley William Layne, a resident of Burkburnett, Texas, formerly of Henryetta passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 91. He was born November 14, 1921 in Dewar, OK to Fred Layne & Margie Compton. Riley was a member of the American Legion for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by both his parents, his wife Jean Layne, son, Ronnie Layne, 2 sisters, and one brother. Riley is survived by his daughter, Linda Hogan of Tulsa, 3 grandchildren, Brad Hogan & wife Michelle of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Karen Thompson & husband Walter of San Antonio, Texas, and Casey Hogan of New York, 4 great grandsons, Riley William Hogan of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Sean Hogan of Bowling Green, Hunter Thompson of San Antonio, and Jackson Layne Thompson of San Antonio, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 1-8 pm on Sunday, February 24th at Shurden Funeral Home. Funeral Services are scheduled for Monday, February 25th, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Shurden Chapel with Rev. Jack Vance, officiating. Interment will follow at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Shurden Funeral Home.
