Robbie Jean Hurt

Robbie Jean Hurt, a lifetime resident of Morris, Oklahoma gained her heavenly reward on July 21, 2022. Robbie was born January 22, 1930 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Jess and Della (Scranton) Paschal. Robbie married the love of her life, Olen Hurt, on December 12th 1946. Olen and Robbie were married for 71 years.

Robbie raised four children, while spending many hours in the kitchen cooking, baking, and canning. She is well known for her chocolate sheet cake, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, and her dressing for Thanksgiving. She enjoyed gardening and being a demonstrator at Walmart. Robbie was a lifelong member of the Morris United Pentecostal Church, and led the women's ministry for over 20 years.

Robbie is preceded in death by her husband Olen Hurt, her parents, Jess and Della Paschal, her brothers, Ike and Donald Paschal, sister, Barbara Paschal, sister-in-law, Helen Johns, and a daughter-in-law Janice Hurt.

She is survived by four children, Jim Hurt of Morris, Danny Hurt and wife Debi of Morris, Larry Hurt and wife Lisa of Coweta, and daughter, Teresa Hampton of Morris. Jerry Hampton of Broken Arrow. Three sisters-in-law, Martha Paschal and Sharon Hensley of LaPorte, Texas and Judy Milstead and husband Paul of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Eleven grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Also by a host of friends, other relatives and her beloved church family.

Pallbearers will be grandsons, Dewayne Hurt, Michael Hurt, Keith Hurt, Travis Hurt, Chase Hampton, David Hurt, Cayne Hampton, Ed Washington, and Dakota Washington.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters, Sabrina Washington, Christi Switzer, Tiffany Fox, and Holli Peters.

Viewing will be from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Tuesday, July 26, 2022 and 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service. Viewing and visitation with family present to great friends will be from 6:00 PM -8:00 PM Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at the Morris United Pentecostal Church.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 28th, 2022 at the United Pentecostal Church, 608 W. Ozark, Morris, Oklahoma with Reverend Justin Monks officiating. Interment will follow in Morris Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service, 410 East Trudgeon Street, Henryetta, Oklahoma, 74437, 918-652-6600, www.integrityfuneralservice.com.

Mrs. Hurt's services will be live streamed on Facebook Live on the church website. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Morris United Pentecostal Church of Morris, Oklahoma.
