Robert Elvin "Bob" James, a resident of Okmulgee, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2022 in Okmulgee, OK at the age of 85. He was born December 20, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Elvin Kirby James & Eula Grace James.
He served in the United States Air Force from 1955-1958. He was a Lieutenant for the Okmulgee Police Department for 26 years, retiring in 1985.
He married Billie JoAnn Sims on May 4, 1960 in Okmulgee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers and sisters.
Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Billie JoAnn James of the home,
three daughters; Kala Fuentes of Okmulgee, Karla Nicholson & husband William "Bill" of Okmulgee, and Kara James of Okmulgee, grandchildren; Robert Lorenz & wife Ashley of Bixby, Jessie Fuentes of Okmulgee, Tristan Mildon & husband Tyler of Ogden, Utah, and Grant Nicholson & wife Alicia of Portland, Oregon, great grandchildren; Jolece Nicholson, Lorelai Lorenz, Ava Stegan, Archer Mildon, Eva Nicholson, and Blaiz Nicholson, brother, Roy James & wife Bernice of Napa, California, sister, Eula Smith of Yukon, Oklahoma, brother, David James of Catoosa, sister, Carol Breshears & husband Bill of Ward, Arkansas, and brother Paul James & wife Brenda of Mountain Home, Arkansas, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be, Bill Nicholson, Bryan James, James Melton, Lane Melton, Tristan Mildon and Steve James. Honorary Pallbearer will be Jolece Nicholson.
Viewing will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Integrity Funeral Service with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 PM.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2022 at Integrity Chapel with Chaplain Tom Smith, officiating, Eulogy by Jolece Nicholson. Interment will follow at Okmulgee Cemetery with military honors presented by the United States Air Force and the Okmulgee Police Department. Services are under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
