Rosie Mae (Fry) Bruner

July 22, 1926 — July 23, 2016

Rosie Mae Fry Bruner was called home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 23, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday. Rosie, or known to many people as Mallie, was born on July 22, 1926 to Sandy and Ella Fry. She was a member of Hickory Ground #2 Baptist Church where she was a woman's leader for many years.

Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, Sandy Fry Sr. and Ella Harjo Fry; her husband, Jackson Bruner; daughter, Ella "Chick" Hill; one granddaughter, Alyssa Frank; brothers, Sandy Fry Jr and Buster Fry; sisters, Nettie Harjo and Lorene Sumka. She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Frank of Okmulgee, Minnie Proctor of Dewar, Nellie Lasley of Henryetta, Emma Wind of Oklahoma City, Cinda Bruner of Henryetta and Wanda Williams of Henryetta; brothers, Roley Fry and Johnson Fry of Henryetta and Bobby Fry of Okmulgee; sisters, Alice Fields of Henryetta, Ann Kelly of Glenpool, Sue Harley, Martha Fry and Bertha Fry, all of Henryetta; her precious grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Rosie was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family. She was dedicated to serving her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at her home church until her health caused her to stay at home. She was not only a women's leader at church but also to her family. She would always encourage her family and friends in keeping Jesus Christ in one's life. She will be remembered as a pillar of strength to her family and friends. She will be forever remembered and missed by her family. As Rosie would always say, "Keep going to Church".

Viewing for Rosie will be held on Wednesday at Integrity Funeral Service from 9am until 4pm.

A wake service for Rosie will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 7:30pm at Yardeka Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Sydney Lee and Rev. Wallace Gambler officiating.

A funeral service for Rose will be held on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at 2:00pm at Yardeka Indian Baptist Church with Rev. Sydney Lee and Rev. Wallace Gambler officiating. Interment will follow immediately at the Fry-Harjo Family Cemetery under the direction of Integrity Funeral Service.

Pallbearers will be Junior Frank, JoMekko Hill, JR Williams, Byron Proctor, Devon Bruner, Justin Sanchez, Victor Rivas and George Fields. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Proctor and William Wind, the grandsons and brothers of Rosie Bruner. Flower girls will be the granddaughters of Rosie Bruner.
