Roxie Eugene "Rock" McLaughlin a longtime resident of Henryetta was born July 3, 1945 in Henryetta to William Eugene "Ted" McLaughlin and Edith West McLaughlin. He passed away in the early morning hours of September 10, 2010 in Henryetta at the age of 65.
Roxie married Yvonne Jones on March 2, 1968 in Henryetta. He worked for Anchor Glass Company in Henryetta as a furnace tender until his retirement June 15, 2010. He was a member of the GMP Union and a former member of the Okmulgee Elks Lodge.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ted & Edith McLaughlin, 2 sisters, Amy Pierce and Evelyn McLaughlin, his granddaughter, Cassidy Stout and his stepmother, Quneta McLaughlin.
The family has requested donations be made to Ronald McDonald House or the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
Roxie is survived by his wife Yvonne of the home
Two daughters, Shelly McLaughlin Hensley of Henryetta
Lacresa Stout & husband Robert of Henryetta
Grandson, Josh Griffith of Henryetta and his girlfriend Abbie Vestal of Sayre
Granddaughter Saydee Stout of Henryetta
He is further survived by, Travis Griffith of Henryetta
Bill & Pam Mull of Sapulpa
As well as many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives
Pallbearers will be, Jim Pilley, Michael Barton, Gerald Styles, Sidney Pilley, Brandon Mull, Frank Jones, Jr. & Kacey Westmoreland.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Don Gaither, Robert Harris, Jerry "Mo" Baribeau, Elton Lancaster, Terry Harelson, Kim Robison, Randy Andrews, Robert Juno,
Robert (Jim Bob) Waldron and the Anchor Batch and Furnace Department.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dale Durnell officiating.
Interment will be at 3:00 p.m., in Stillwell Cemetery under direction of
Integrity Funeral Service.
