Roy Dean Dodson

Roy D Dodson, a resident of Dewar, passed away July 01, 2015 in Henryetta, OK at the age of 64. He was born Monday, October 9, 1950 in Henryetta, OK to George Dodson & Thelma (Ross) Dodson.

Roy was a veteran of the Viet-Nam Conflict serving with the United States Army. He served from 1969 until 1971 in Viet-Nam, and was discharged in 1973. Roy was in heavy equipment sales. He married his wife Lisa September 20, 2008 in Dewar.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Thelma Dodson, one brother, Carld Dodson, three sisters, Joyce Shaw, Doris Green, & Opal Cole. Also by a nephew, Ronnie Dean Robinson.

Roy is survived by his wife Lisa of the home in Dewar;
Five children, Terre Eckhardt & husband Matt of Davis Junction, Illinois;
Ryan Dodson of Depue, Illinois;
John Capps of Dallas;
Allen Capps of Dewar;
Zachary Capps & wife Bridget of Las, Vegas, Nevada;
Two grandchildren, Hunter Eckhardt of Illinois;
Oscar Capps of Las Vegas, Nevada;
One brother, Jimmy Dodson & wife Diane of Illinois;
One sister, Ethel Locatelli of Texas;
Also by nieces, nephews, a host of friends and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be, Jerry Robinson, Billy Robinson, Danny Harrison & Ricky Silkwood. Honorary pallbearers will be, Dave Johnson & Tommy Silkwood.

Viewing will be from 2 - 5pm on Saturday and Noon - 8pm on Sunday.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2015 at Integrity Chapel with Rev. David Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Integrity Funeral Service.
